Professional background
Mariana Hughes
Mariana Hughes, managing director of Hughes Events, holds a degree in business administration from Universidad Iberoamericana and two master’s degrees: one in professional marketing and another in international business and foreign trade, completed in Madrid, Spain.
Her career has been spent in large corporations, mainly in the financial sector: Banco Santander during her time in Spain, IFEMA in the world of international trade fairs, and HSBC Mexico, heading the corporate marketing area for national and international events.

Golf background
A golfer since the age of six and a player in national and international tournaments, she ranks among the ten best players in Mexico City. In her first university years she was awarded a scholarship by Georgia State University, where she joined the team and stood out as one of its leading players.
She holds a PGTAA certification from California, which qualifies her to teach golf, and an ambassador membership with the PGA of Mexico. She has run more than 100 golf tournaments nationally and over 30 internationally, in destinations such as Spain, the United States, Italy, Brazil and England. She currently plays as an amateur with a handicap registered with the FMG.
